Refit of kit and first test drive on Panhard AML
09/04/2013

With the paint finally cured (it has been cold recently in the unit!) I was able to get my recently completed AML out for a shake down and debug.

As you can see the final armaments aren't fitted and I am currently changing the bulbs in the front lights to comply with UK law.

The next job is tidy up the interior as its very dusty and I have so far neglected this as have been focussing on the mechanics. This will be the focus of the next few blogs.

It is now MOT'd,  road registered and hence I have added two (magnetic) plates at the rear warning people behind that the visablity isn't so good for the driver!

It performed faultlessly, and after the cleaning of the gear shift lever, the change was smooth and crisp.  It will need a tune as it was running a little rich on idle, but we are on target for the show season.

The vehicle will be at Solent Military vehicle show in Horndean, Trowbridge Veterans show (in the town centre) War and Peace.  Hopefully it will make an appearance at the Weston Super Marebeach lawns and the North Nibley steam fair too!

Come up and say hello if you see us.
