Another highly successful Veterans weekend at Trowbridge. With the excellent weather, and Trowbridge show getting a good deal of publicity it was very well attended.
There were approx. ten re-enactment groups and a few dozen uniformed individuals. With the army in attendance and a challenger 2 for the kids to play on it was one of the biggest shows to date.
There were approx. 10 thousand people over the two days and interest in our group was very high.
We had a couple of French nationals make themselves known including a current serving paratrooper and an Algerian War veteran.
The Veteran was extremely generous and gave us two photo albums of his time in the army - and I have his permission to scan and publish his pictures on this site soon.
The panhard was very popular as with the side doors open it enabled the public to see inside an armoured car. Most of the comments were around how small the interior was for three fully grown men!
A couple of pictures to the right.. you can see how you need a modicum of acrobatic skill to get in and out of it !
